Course description

One of the most in-demand skills for data analysts is R. In fact, skills in R programming attract some of the highest salaries in positions in the fields of data analysis/data science. Update your skills in R including exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling using real data applications.

 

Competencies

Participants will learn to:

  • generate and interpret summary statistics using R;
  • conduct and interpret statistical tests using R;
  • conduct and interpret multivariable regression analysis using R;
  • explore advanced R packages.

 

Required Knowledge/Prerequisites

Prior course work in R or work-related experience using R

Instructor

Jeremiah Perez

is a PhD candidate in Biostatistics at Boston University and a Research Assistant at BU Statistics and Consulting Unit. He earned a master’s degree in Statistical Computing and a bachelor’s degree in Decision & Information Sciences. Jeremiah has over seven years of R and SAS programming experience in clinical and genetics research settings. Jeremiah’s research interests include non-inferiority trials, survival analysis, propensity-score methods, and risk prediction modeling. He also has experience teaching Introduction to Statistical Computing at BU’s School of Public Health.
